The Wave by OCTA app is now active. Students should download the app and follow the instructions below to access their bus pass.

Welcome to Wave by OCTA, the new account-based system that makes riding faster and easier.
Starting Spring 2026, students should download the Wave by OCTA mobile app to access their Fullerton College Bus Pass. Use the instructional links below for step-by-step guidance on downloading the app, creating an account, and accessing your bus pass.
Students who prefer a physical bus pass may obtain a Wave card, which is available at select retail locations and the OCTA Store. A physical Wave card does not require the app for daily use; however, students must use a device to register and link the card to their Wave account through the Wave app or website.

Important: All students, whether using a physical Wave card or a digital pass, must create a new Wave account using their preferred email address. For most students, this will be the email used to register at Fullerton College, which can be verified under the Student Information widget on the main homepage of MyGateway.
Fullerton College Bus Pass
The Fullerton College Pass Program began as a three-year, pilot program in the Fall 2019 semester, as partnership between the college and Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). Year 1 was funded by the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP), a part of the Cap-and-Trade Program and the Mobile Source Air Pollution Review Committee (LMSRC). Year 2 (2020) and Year 3 (2021) were funded by transportation fees paid by currently enrolled students at Fullerton College.
With the mandatory transportation fee that Fullerton College students pay each semester, you have unlimited access to the OC Bus (for school, work, shopping, the beach) during the current fall and spring semesters that you are currently enrolled. For currently enrolled students at Fullerton College, bus passes will be automatically uploaded to your WAVE App account on the first day of the semester.
